CDME In Review: A Look Back at 2021

Posted:

As we look forward to the New Year, the CDME team would like to thank our community of students, staff, researchers, academic collaborators, and industry partners for their support.

This year has resulted in incredible growth and progress at CDME.

  • We've embarked on a renovation project to expand the center's footprint while empowering collaboration with increased laboratory and administrative space.
  • We're defining the future of 3D printing in medicine with the introduction of our Medical, Modeling, Materials and Manufacturing (M4) Lab.
  • We're well-positioned to be a leader in additive manufacturing with industrial 3D printers capable of processing metals, polymers, composites, biomaterials, and ceramics.
  • We've employed more than 100 undergraduate students, allowing them to gain the hands-on experience they need to make an immediate impact after graduation.

But that's not all.

Watch below as CDME Executive Director Nate Ames recaps exciting developments that have taken place at CDME in the past year while projecting what's ahead for 2022.
