Welcome back to CDME, we hope you had a great summer!

Take a look inside our first ever all-student orientation and learn about what it means to be part of the CDME team.

First, our new students introduced themselves to each other and to the rest of the staff. We have so many students studying different majors. From Chemical Engineering to Marketing, we are working together as one brain with very much diversity and knowledge. There are so many great new students who will be helping us at CDME this Autumn semester and we are so excited about it.

Following introductions, we welcomed our Director of Business Development, Charlie Young, who taught us about the history of CDME and about all of our amazing resources here. Did you know that we have over 15 different commercial scale capabilities?

Here we have our Director of Business, Charlie Young, teaching us how CDME helps business meet innovation.

Next, our Director of Additive Manufacturing, Ed Herderick, led a very fun but difficult icebreaker activity. The goal for each group was to build a sturdy and tall foundation out of spaghetti noodles, string, and tape, all in a short period of time. But wait, it had to be strong enough to hold a marshmallow at the top! It was much harder than it sounds.

After wrapping up a few more presentations, we took a tour of our incredible facility. Finally, we finished up enjoying Ohio State's very own Adriatico's Pizza together.

We hope you are as excited as we are to kick off this school year with an awesome staff on hand and with so many new ideas. Stay tuned to see what comes next!
