Posted:

May 28, 2019 – Three of CDME’s students working with Dr. Ed Herderick travelled to the Central Ohio School of Metalwork (COSOM) to meet with local blacksmith Adlai Stein. As research assistants investigating the applications of forging technology in manufacturing, the opportunity to literally forge their own knives was a fantastic introduction to the real-life application of materials science.
