Research Advisory Committee
The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) consists of key faculty, staff, and researchers from Ohio State University and partnered research institutions. The RAC has three core functions:
- To act as the voice of technology to CDME and its industrial partners. A known issue for universities and R&D organizations is the limited ability to connect technologies that are lower on the technology readiness level (TRL) scale to industry needs at the appropriate time. Bringing technology into a program before the problem is understood or after the customer has already invested heavily in capital equipment both have negative implications for the customer and the technology.
- To connect CDME and its industrial partners to a larger sphere of researchers.
- To help rank and score early stage project opportunities for CDME’s commercialization funding. This ranking will be done in joint sessions with the Industry Advisory Committee.
